Wheels that start with the car

Turismo Wheels is a Polish brand specializing in the design and production of forged aluminum wheels for premium, sports, and luxury cars. From the very beginning, our starting point wasn’t the wheel itself, but the car it would be mounted on. The silhouette, proportions, braking system, suspension, and brand identity all directly influence the look and configuration of the wheel.

At Turismo, we combine design with a technical approach to product development. We create our own collections of forged aluminum wheels, as well as custom configurations tailored to specific vehicles. We offer monoblock, 2-piece, and 3-piece designs. Various diameters, widths, offsets, and a wide selection of finishes are available. For individual (custom) projects, we can start from an idea, sketch, or photo of the vehicle, all the way to a finished set of wheels.

Design matters

A wheel is one of those car components that can completely transform its appearance. A few millimeters of difference in width, a different wheel offset, a change in rim diameter, or a change in spoke proportions can make the same car look completely different. That’s why we take wheel design as seriously as we do their production.

We work on the design’s proportions, the shape of the spokes, the depth of the surface, the way individual elements connect, and the finishing details.
For custom designs, we use 3D visualizations, which allow you to see the wheel on a specific vehicle before production begins. This allows you not only to refine the look but also to make informed decisions about size, width, and other configuration aspects.

In our opinion, a good wheel shouldn’t look like a randomly chosen accessory. It should feel like it was designed with the car in mind.

Forged aluminum wheels

Modern technologies allow us to create structures that combine high strength with the ability to achieve precise and lightweight forms. At Turismo, we use forged aluminum to produce our wheels 6061-T6, which we then subject to further processing stages, including precision CNC machining and surface finishing. The production process is tailored to the specific project and its technical requirements.

Designing a wheel is closely linked to preparing it for the production process. Based on the design assumptions, the wheel geometry and a set of parameters necessary for its production are developed. The material then undergoes further processing stages, including precision CNC machining, which allows for achieving the required shape and accuracy. Once processing is complete, the wheel undergoes surface preparation and finishing to the selected specifications.

When it comes to custom-made wheels, it’s crucial to correctly define the parameters for a specific application. Diameter, width, offset (ET), bolt pattern, center bore, and the space required for the braking system must be considered at the design stage. The proper combination of these parameters allows for a design that’s properly tailored to the specific vehicle model and its configuration.

From design to finished set

Each project begins with defining the vehicle’s specifications and the final design brief. Based on this, the appropriate wheel design, diameter, width, and other parameters are selected. In the case of a custom project, the scope of work may also include developing a new design and preparing a 3D model. This allows us to verify the proportions and appearance of the design on a specific vehicle before production begins.

Once the design is approved, the technical documentation necessary for the production of the wheels is prepared. The design then moves on to production, where individual stages are carried out in accordance with the adopted specifications. Once the machining is complete, the wheels undergo finishing processes and are inspected for compliance with the design.

The result is a set of forged aluminum wheels configured for a specific car – both in terms of technical parameters and design.
